If you live in Reading Borough you must apply to Reading Borough Council for a secondary school place for your child even if your preferred school(s) is in another local authority. If you live in Reading Borough Council (i.e. you pay your Council Tax to Reading) the only valid application is one submitted to Reading Borough Council you do not need to apply to the school or to any other local authority for schools outside Reading. If you live in another local authority you must apply to that authority even if you are seeking a place in a Reading school.
